90% Health Insurance — How?
Nepal's current health insurance system is fragmented: there are government insurance programs, Social Security Fund health benefits, employer insurance, and private policies — all with different coverage and different payment systems. Budget 2083 integrates all these into a single payment method.

Free Medicine — Domestic Production
Previously, the 25+ medicines provided free at government health posts were almost entirely imported. Nepal Drugs Limited (नेपाल औषधि लिमिटेड) will be strengthened and equipped to produce these domestically — reducing import costs and improving supply reliability.
Digital Health Profile
Every citizen will have a unified digital health record linked to their citizenship ID. Doctors, health posts, and hospitals will access the same record — eliminating duplicate tests, enabling faster diagnosis, and allowing real-time government monitoring of service delivery.
Infrastructure: 336 Hospitals Completed
336 basic hospitals currently under construction across Nepal will be completed in 3 years. Each province with low Human Development Index will get at least one basic hospital in suitable location.
